Allen Men's Soccer Falls at Cowley

The Men's Soccer Team lost to Cowley 3-1 on Wednesday evening. The Red Devils started off slow right from the start, allowing Cowley to score within the first five minutes of the game. The guys did not react well after sluggish start and the rest of the half was in Cowley's favor, as Cowley added two more goals in the first half, bringing the halftime score to 3-0. After halftime, the Red Devils had some sophomores step up and take some leadership to try and bring the team back from the slow start. The Red Devils put the pressure on right away in the second half scoring a goal within the first ten minutes. Daniel Guardado scored the goal for Allen with the assist coming from Sami Sabrah. The Red Devils were all over Cowley, only allowing Cowley one shot on goal the whole second half. Allen had plenty of opportunities to try and level the score in the second half, but just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net. Alan Ibarra came up big several different times throughout the game, and had seven saves in total. The coaching staff was very proud of the team at the end of the game for not giving up and fighting until the end of the game. The Red Devils overall record is now 1-4, and 0-1 in conference. Next game is Saturday September 9th at home against KCK at 4pm.
