Red Devils Dominate Greyhounds

The Allen Men's Basketball team pushed their win streak to 10 with a 75-61 road win at Fort Scott on Saturday afternoon. In the highly anticipated matchup the Red Devils were able to control the game from start to finish. Chris Dixon helped Allen separate midway through the half with back-to-back 3-point makes, and Allen would stretch the lead to 11 points at the half (37-26). 

In the second half the Allen defense continued to give the Greyhounds fits and never allowed them to get into rhythm. The Red Devils would push their lead up to as many as 25 points. Allen was able to convert a lot of points at the free-throw line as Fort Scott was whistled from 4 technical fouls. Fort Scott wouldn't quit and the Greyhounds were able to cut the deficit down to 14 points at the end of the contest. 

Chris Dixon led all scorers with 23 points on 6 of 15 from the floor. Dixon also grabbed 6 rebounds. Ahmed Mahgoub had 13 point, and Donavan Seamster also reached double figures with 11 points. 

Allen is now 16-5 overall on the season, and 5-0 in KJCCC action. Allen will host KCK on Wednesday night at 8:00 pm. The Blue Devils are currently 4-1 in KJCCC. The Red Devils were still receiving votes to be ranked in the latest NJCAA poll.
