Red Devils Cruise Past Panthers

The Allen Men's Basketball team continued their win streak with a 79-51 win over the Neosho Panthers. Allen started the game off with a Chris Dixon 3-pointer, but then the Red Devils would go cold for several minutes. A couple of bad passes led to some easy scores for the Panthers as Neosho grabbed a 7-3 lead in the early going. Allen would settle in and go on a 7-0 run to regain the lead and would stay in control from that point forward. Allen would go into the halftime break with a 39-28 advantage.

In the second half Allen kept the momentum as the Red Devils were able to connect on several 3-point attempts to help extend the lead. Donavan Seamster connected on 2 3-pointers. Freshman Emion Galloway stepped up and knocked down an open 3, and Tanner Meyer also got going from the 3-point line as he connected on 3 of 5 attempts. All 15 players who suited up for Allen were able to see minutes and helped contribute to the rivalry win.

The Red Devils had a balanced scoring attack with Brycen Dean leading the way with 14 points in just 17 minutes of game play. Chris Dixon scored 13 points, and Tanner Meyer scored 11 points. Brayden Thompnson finished the game with 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.

This was Allen's 9th straight win. The Red Devils are now 4-0 in the KJCCC and 15-5 overall on the season. Allen continues to receive votes to be ranked in the NJCAA polls. Allen will travel to Fort Scott, Kansas on Saturday for a matchup with the Fort Scott Greyhounds.
