The Allen Men's Basketball team traveled to Hesston, KS on Wednesday to take on the Hesston College Larks. The Red Devils jumped out to an early 8-2 start and would keep the lead for the remainder of the contest. The Allen defense was clicking on all cylinders as their pressure gave Hesston fits for the first 20 minutes. The Larks would score 17 first half points as they went 4-29 from the field (13.8%). Allen would lead by 20 at half time with a score of 37-17. 

The Larks did not quit and made a couple long range 3's to chip away at the Allen lead. The Red Devils would settle back in and take the lead back up to 20 points. The final scored ended 74-50 in favor of Allen. All 15 players who suited up saw action for the Red Devils. 

Brayden Thompson had a monster game with a double-double. Thompson was able to score over the Hesston defense all night. Thompson finished the game with 18 points to lead all scorers, and Thompson grabbed 16 rebounds (8 offensive and 8 defensive). Ahmed Mahgoub was the only other Red Devil in double figures scoring with 15 points and Mahgoub also pulled down 5 rebounds. 

Allen is now 13-5 on the season and 2-0 in KJCCC action. The Red Devils continue to receive votes to be ranked in the latest NJCAA polls. 

Next Allen will hit the road again on Saturday for a 3:00 pm tipoff at Highland CC.
