The Allen Men's Basketball team lost 80-70 at Metropolitan CC on Tuesday evening. The Red Devils struggled against the physicality of the Wolves pressure defense. Allen had careless turnovers in the first half that allowed Metro to push their lead up to as much as 9 points. Allen would end the half on a run to cut the deficit to just 4 at the break (30-34). 

In the second half Allen had two early turnovers which led to run out points for the Wolves. The Red Devils could not hang on to the basketball and gave the Wolves points. With 13 minutes remaining Metro pushed the lead up to 19 points. From there Allen would slowly cut into the lead. With a few minutes remaining Allen had all the momentum, causing Metro to turn the ball over, and Allen also was able to capitalize at the free-throw line. The Red Devils would cut the lead down to just 3 points with a minute and a half to go. Unfortunately, a timely turnover by Allen led to a easy score for Metro, and they would go on to seal the game at the free-throw line. 

Chris Dixon led with 20 points on 8-14 from the floor. Ahmed Mahgoub finished with 15 points on 5 of 9 shooting. Brycen Dean scored 12 on 5 of 7 from the floor. 

Next Allen will return home for the Allen Classic on Friday and Saturday. The Red Devils will play the Southeast CC Storm on Friday at 7:00 pm.
