Allen Struggles on the Road at Cloud

The Allen Men's Basketball team got off to a very slow start Wednesday night at Cloud County and the result was a blowout loss 90-69. The Red Devils came out flat and Cloud took advantage and jumped out to a quick lead over Allen. In the first half of play the Red Devils would shoot a miserable 17.9% from the floor, while Cloud shot 48.6% from the floor. The Red Devils had decent looks, but could not get anything to fall in the first half of play. Cloud was able to convert around the basket for easy scores, and also shot 6-12 from the 3 point line in the first half, while Allen shot just 2-12 from 3 in the first half.

At halftime the Thunderbirds led 45-21. In the second half the Red Devils would pick up the scoring as they scored 48 points in the half and outscored Cloud by 3 points, but the first half deficit was too much to overcome. Allen would go on to finish the game shooting 29.6% from the floor to Cloud's 50% from the floor.

Perry Carroll finished the game with 16 points and 3 assists. Malik Hardmon recorded another double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. The only other Red Devil in double digits was Canaan Daniels with 11 points on 3-4 shooting from beyond the arc.

This loss drops Allen to 13-13 on the year, and 5-12 in KJCCC play. Allen will return home Saturday for a 4:00 PM matchup with Cowley.
