The Allen Men's Basketball Team lost a tough road game to Barton Community College 85-77 Saturday night. The game saw 15 lead changes and 7 ties throughout the contest. In the early going the Red Devils held a 13-6 lead, but Barton made quick run to regain the lead at 19-13. A late three to close the second half for Barton gave them a 4 point lead going into halftime with a score of 38-34. 

The Red Devils responded early in the second half, as Allen got it going from the 3 point line, connecting on 9 of 15 3's in the second half. Allen shot 13-26 from 3 for the game. While Allen shot it well from deep, they struggled to get enough defensive stops as Barton shot 52.6% for the game. Barton also took advantage of the free throw line, going 19-27, while Allen just managed to shoot 8 free throws for the game. 

DaRon Mims led all scores with 28 points on 12-21 shooting and 3-6 from the 3 point line. Quentin Blaue had a big night shooting the basketball, scoring 27 points. Blaue went 7-9 from the 3 point line and helped keep Allen in the game in the second half. Blaue also led Allen in rebounding with 6. No other Red Devil scored more than 5 points in the contest. 

Allen will return home for a rematch with Cowley on Wednesday night. Game times are set for 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
