The Allen Men's basketball team defeat Colby 76-75 Saturday night in Colby, Kansas. Allen was down 2 with only 4 seconds to go and had to go the length of the floor. Jacob Patterson inbounded the ball to DaRon Mims on the run and Mims got just passed half court and banked in the game winning shot to give Allen their 2nd consecutive conference win. 

In the early going Allen led, but Colby was able to make runs of their own. Midway through the 2nd half Allen was able to grab a 10 point lead, but Colby erased the deficit quickly. The final few minutes were back and forth, but Allen found a way to win a tough road game at Colby. 

DaRon Mims led all scorers with 25 points on 8 of 19 shooting (5 of 10 from the 3 point line). Mims also grabbed 5 rebounds. Quentin Blaue scored 11 points, connecting on 3 of his 7 three point attempts. EJ Garnes was the only other Red Devil in double figures with 10 points. 

Allen is now 5-2 on the season, and 2-1 in the Conference standings. Allen will host Garden City Community College Tuesday before going on Thanksgiving break. Game times are 6:00 PM for the women's game, and 8:00 PM for the men.
