Allen Men’s Basketball team lost at Cowley College

The Allen Men's Basketball team lost in a blow out Saturday evening at Cowley Community College. From the start of the game Allen did not match Cowley's energy and effort on both ends of the floor. Allen would lose by the final score of 98-57, which is the biggest loss of the season by far. Cowley had lost 8 straight conference games coming into the matchup, but you would not expect that with the way they played all night.

Allen could not get anything to go right for much of the night, and took bad shots for most of the evening. Allen went into the half time break down 22-51. The Red Devils have erased many deficits throughout this season, but in this game they were not able to mount any sort of a comeback. This loss also hurt in the KJCCC standings, as Allen and Cowley were tied in the standings coming into the contest, and Allen won the previous matchup against Cowley.

Jah-Kobe Womack led the Red Devils in scoring with 14 points, making all 8 of his attempts from the free-throw line. DaRon Mims scored 13 points. Jermaine Long was the only other Red Devil in double digits scoring for the night with 12 points. Many of Allen's key contributors did not play up to their normal standards, and the end result was a blow out loss.

Allen will return home Wednesday night at 8:00 PM for a match up with Butler Community College.  Allen is now 14-13 overall this season, and 5-11 in the KJCCC.
