Allen defeated Cloud 89-61

The Allen Men's Basketball team bounced back after a tough road loss at Colby, and defeated Cloud County by the score of 89-61. The Red Devils jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Allen's run and jump press defense was able to cause some fits for Cloud for the entire 40 minutes. Allen was able to take a big lead into the halftime break with a score of 47-21. Cloud County came out with more energy in the second half, but the Red Devils were able to shield them off and keep a large lead for the entire second half.

 

The entire team saw action for the Red Devils. Allen was led in scoring by Jermaine Long with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. DaRon Mims shot the ball lights out from the perimeter, connecting on 4 of 7 three point attempts. Mims finished the game with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Jameel Henson continued his solid playing as of late and chipped in 16 points on 5 of 7 shooting, and also grabbed 6 rebounds. Tremaine Fraiser reached double figures with 15 points, and Jah-Kobe Womack scored 10.

 

The Red Devils will travel to Coffeyville on Wednesday January 13th for their next conference match up. Allen is now 10-7 on the season, and 2-5 in conference.
