Tough loss in overtime for the Red Devils

Allen Men's basketball suffered their first loss of the season in Sedalia, MO to State Fair Community College in overtime (final score 111-105). The game was tight the entire way. There was a total of 12 lead changes and 14 ties in the game. Allen scored 6 more field goals than State Fair, but State Fair went 39-48 from the free throw line, to Allen's 20-23 from the line. In the first half Allen went 13-16 from the free throw line, to State Fair's 9 of 15. 

Jermaine Long led the Red Devils in scoring with 29 points. DaRon Mims had his best game of the season with 22 points on 8 of 13 shooting. Darnell Jones-Bowie scored 15, all in the second half because of early foul trouble. Quentin Blaue scored 12 points on 5 of 11 shooting. 

In the final 12 seconds of regulation the Red Devils trailed by 3, but Quentin Blaue made a 3 pointer with 4 seconds left to force OT. Allen battled all night and gave great effort against a very good State Fair team. Allen will play their last game of the Classic Saturday at 3:00 PM against Moberly Area Community College.
