Clint Stoy begins his 7th season with the Red Devil Baseball program. Stoy brings 17 years of coaching experience overall, 14 years of Junior College, 3 years as a NCAA Division I assistant, as well as 3 years of MLB scouting experience to Allen County Community College.

During the 2020 COVID-shortened season the Red Devils were top 25 in the country in Batting Average, On-Base Percentage, and Slugging Percentage before the cancellation of the remainder of the season. Red Devil Baseball continued their tradition of academic excellence with 11 more All-Academic award winners.

In 2018-2019, the Red Devils eclipsed the 30-win mark for the first time in Stoy’s tenure with 31 wins while the team saw 5 players receiving All-Conference recognition. The Red Devils once again qualified for the Region VI tournament making it 4 years in a row.

The 2017-2018 season saw Red Devil baseball garner 25 wins along with an astounding 23 All-Academic award winners while earning 5 All-Conference selections matching the total from the season prior and earning a third consecutive Region VI tournament appearance.

In 2016-2017, the Red Devils tied the mark set the year before with 28 wins for most in a single-season under Stoy’s tenure while also garnering 15 All-Academic award winners along with 5 receiving All-Conference recognition as well as an All-Regional recipient who then went on to earn a 2nd Team NJCAA All-American award. The Red Devils made their second Region VI appearance in a row this season.

The 2015-2016 season showed great improvement with the Red Devils compiling 28 wins making it the most in a single-season under Stoy while also making it to the Region VI championship tournament. The Devils had 7 All-Conference selections, 1 All-Region selection and 1 Region VI Gold Glove winner. 16 Sophomores from the 2016 team were able to continue their career at four-year institutions along with one player who was selected in the Major League Baseball draft by the Boston Red Sox in the 25th round. The 2015-2016 team finished with a 3.37 GPA which was 8th best in the country.

In his first season at Allen, the Red Devils had the best season since 2012, and had a team GPA of 3.39. The team GPA was the 7th best in the country.

Before Allen, Stoy spent 2013 and 2014 at Iowa Western Community college as an assistant coach and the pitching coach. In two seasons, Iowa Western had a combined record of 101-25 and were Region XI champions in both years, and Northern District and National Champions in 2014 while having 25 pitchers sign Division I letters of intent in those two seasons.

Prior to Iowa Western Stoy was at Labette Community College in Parsons, KS. As the recruiting coordinator and offensive and defensive instructor, Labette made two consecutive trips to the NJCAA Division 1 playoffs.

Prior to Labette in 2010, Stoy was an assistant at the University of New Mexico, where the Lobos went to the Cal. St. Fullerton regional, which was the first regional appearance for New Mexico since 1962. In 2010, the Lobos finished with a .346 batting average which ranked 4th in the country.

Prior to New Mexico Stoy made stops as an assistant at Crowder College in Neosho, MO and Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA. While at Crowder and Nicholls State Stoy coached several All Conference selections and coached several players drafted by Major League Baseball. Stoy also served as an associate scout for the Chicago White Sox from 2002-2005.

In the summer of 2005 he was the associate head coach for the Laramie Colts in Laramie, WY where the Colts won the Mountain Collegiate championship.

A native of Oklahoma City, OK Stoy graduated from Westmoore H.S. in 1998 where he is currently the schools record holder for hits and doubles in a season. He then attended Cowley County Community College and played two seasons under Dave Burroughs. In the 2000 season he was named a NJCAA All American and was named to the NJCAA Team USA who played in Sendai City, Japan. In the summer of 2000 Stoy was also named an American Airlines All American. He is also currently the school record holder at Cowley County for career batting average. After receiving his Associates Degree in Business Administration from Cowley, Stoy then transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. While at Southern Mississippi, Stoy was selected to the Conference USA all-tournament team in 2001. He was also the Conference USA leader in doubles in the 2002 season. Stoy earned his B.S in Sports Administration, and also received a Scholastic Bronze Medal in two separate semesters. He then went on to earn his Master’s degree in Education from Missouri State.
