Allen Can't Catch Up To Carl Albert State College

 

Allen watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-1 loss to Carl Albert State College on Sunday. Carl Albert State College scored on a home run by Moody and a grand slam by Poindexter in the first inning.

The Allen struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Carl Albert State College, giving up 13 runs.

Carl Albert State College got things moving in the first inning, when Moody hit a solo homer.

Gonzalez led things off on the hill for Carl Albert State College. The hurler surrendered zero runs on three hits over four innings, striking out three.

 Luke Stone toed the rubber for AllenStone surrendered six runs on five hits over two innings, striking out one. Alex Belch threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Carl Albert State College socked seven home runs on the day. Moody put one out in the first inning. Clark went for the long ball in the fifth inning. DeButy had a homer in the second and third innings. Melton had a dinger in the third inning. Irwin went for the long ball in the fourth inning. Poindexter had a four bagger in the first inning.

Allen Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Carl Albert State College

 

Allen snagged a late lead and defeated Carl Albert State College 11-10 on Sunday. The game was tied at ten with Allen batting in the bottom of the fifth when Lukas Rich singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

 Allen was boosted by Colton Patterson who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Patterson homered in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the third, and singled in the fifth.

Carl Albert State College got things started in the first inning. Carl Albert State College scored one run when Clark singled.

In the bottom of the third inning, Allen tied things up at ten. Patterson drove in one when Patterson doubled.

Allen  notched eight runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Allen  was led by RichDamon BurroughsKhyle RadcliffeJonah Weisner, and Patterson, who all drove in runs.

Trey Jordan toed the rubber for Allen. The righthander allowed six hits and nine runs over one inning, striking out one.

Phelps started the game for Carl Albert State College. The pitcher lasted two and a third innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out one. Williams threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
