Red Devils Take 3 Over Rival Neosho

Red Devils rally in 6th the defeat Neosho 3-2

Allen stole the lead late and defeated Neosho 3-2 on Tuesday. The game was tied at two with the Devils batting in the top of the sixth when.

Alec Roberts got the Devils started with a lead-off single. Lucas Rich doubles to left center to put runners on second and third with no outs. Damon Burroughs follows with a double of his own scoring Roberts. Colton Patterson grounds out scoring Rich to tie the game at 2-2. A passed ball with two outs scores Burroughs giving the Devils a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the sixth.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Allen  pitchers struck out ten, while Neosho pitchers sat down eight.

Neosho got things moving in the first inning, when Miller tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Alex Dilley was credited with the victory for Allen. Dilley lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one.

Levi Bennett threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Bennett recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Allen.

Chaffin took the loss for Neosho. The pitcher went six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out seven.

Luke Stone started the game for the Devils. Stone surrendered two runs on five hits over four innings, striking out six and walking one.

Allen collected eight hits on the day. Josh Prinner and Lukas Rich each managed multiple hits for the Devils. Rich and Prinner each managed two hits. Allen was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.

Allen had all cylinders firing on offense on Tuesday, winning big over Neosho 12-3

Trey Jordan got the win for Allen. The pitcher went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out six and walking one. Patrick BabcockBrian Beers, and Slade Renfrow all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

LaRoche took the loss for Neosho. The pitcher allowed nine hits and four runs over five innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Allen tallied three home runs on the day. Kurt Golubski went yard in the seventh inning. Alec Roberts had a dinger in the fifth inning. Jonah Weisner went for the long ball in the sixth inning.

Allen  racked up 18 hits. Damon BurroughsLevi BennettJosh PrinnerGolubskiLogan Easterling, and Weisner all had multiple hits for Allen. Burroughs went 4-for-6 at the plate to lead Allen in hits. Allen was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. 

Allen moves to 13-3 (3-1) in conference. The Devils next action will be Friday and Saturday against Carl Albert @ Humbolt Sports Complex. Games will start at 1:00pm
