Red Devil Prospect Baseball Showcase February 4, 2017

The Allen baseball program is proud to announce the Red Devil Prospect Baseball Showcase February 4, 2017. The showcase will be held in the Allen Activities Building. The purpose of the showcase is to aide in our current recruiting process and to provide exposure for High School athletes. Along with our staff, universities across the Midwest have been invited to attend. Additional coaches will be invited upon participant request.

We are charging $75 for single-position and $100 for dual-position players to help defray the costs involved in hosting the showcase. For example, if a player wants to pitch as well as workout as a position player the fee will be $100. Most showcases charge around $250 for this pro-style workout. Over 300 players have been invited to attend and we expect over 100 players to participate. This is a great opportunity to gain significant exposure not only in front of our coaching staff, but in front of many college coaches in the Midwest.

Each athlete will be tested and evaluated in running, defense, offense and pitchers will throw a bullpen. Defensive evaluation will include arm strength, mobility and actions; offensive evaluation will include live batting practice and exit velocity off of a tee. Pitchers will be evaluated on mechanics, velocity and pitch action in a bullpen session.

A showcase itinerary is listed for your convenience. We plan on having a coach on staff available to answer questions and give a campus tour after each session. Please mail the registration form and release waiver back to our office if you plan to attend. Bring all baseball equipment, including tennis shoes and a batting helmet. The showcase will be held inside, so please plan accordingly.
