Allen Volleyball opened their season at home on Monday night against conference opponent Labette Community College. With many new faces on the court, there were a lot of first time jitters to start the match leading to an ugly start.  Allen would start to settle in to their game but Labette would continually keep them on their toes with an out of system offense.

The Red Devils would struggle to string together offensive runs and let the second set go to the Cardinals. Allen would come out with the win though by being the more disciplined team in the end. Allen was led by Adriana Santiago with 17 kills, and Bethany Williams with 11. Laia Jaca would drive the offense with 42 assists. Mattie Dougherty and Laia Jaca would also add 23 digs apiece.
