Hallie Reed Signs with MACU

Sophomore guard Hallie Reed will be continuing her sharp shooting ways for the next two years at Mid-America Christian University(MACU). The zone buster, which she was called affectionately, was an integral part of the resurgence of the Women’s basketball team at Allen County. She was a great leader on and off the floor with her dedication and hard work she put into her academics as well as to her game. She was that extra ball handler in the open court when needed as well as an aggressive defender in the half court and full defenses that were played.

Hallie started every game last year and was a scoring threat in all aspects. She averaged 35% shooting from the 3point line as well as 88% from the free-throw line. She was the “GO TO” guard to hit the 3 when needed or the FT when teams were using defensive ploys to change their defeated outcome.

“Our excitement for Hallie cannot be measured!” said Coach Crane. “She has done so much for our team chemistry, leadership, and our success this year with her knowledge and passion of the game. MACU is getting a great young woman and a strong tactical player. She will be hard to replace but, with all of our players, we wish her nothing but the best and look forward to seeing her success in the future.”
