In August Laia Jaca dished out 201 assists to lead the team to a 6-3 record for that month. She also added 11 aces and 87 digs. The Lady Red Devils started the season running a 6-2 offense, but changed quickly to a 5-1, leaving Laia as the sole setter based on Jaca’s setting ability and type of attackers Allen has this year. The Lady Red Devils didn’t play any conference matches until September. Laia is from Carolina, Puerto Rico and is adjusting well to Iola, Kansas and Allen Community College.
