Conference Split for the Red Devils against Cloud

GAME ONE

Red Devils easily dispatched Cloud 10-2 on Monday, April 22nd in game one.

The Red Devils got things started in the first inning when Darby Lewis hit a solo homer. Followed by a three-run home run three batters later by Madisyn Thompson and a Meg Kirk RBI double in the first inning to give the Red Devils an early 5-0 lead. The scoring continued in the bottom of the third by a RBI single by Kirk, and two RBI single by Ashtyn Jurging.

Cloud showed life in the top of the fifth putting up two runs, but the Red Devils finished the game with its final two runs drove in by Chelsey Henry and Izzy Cunningham in the bottom of the fifth.

Chloe Enderud earned the win for the Red Devils. She lasted five innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out six.

The Red Devils racked up 13 hits in game one. Meg Kirk, Macie Cervantes, Ashtyn Jurging, Thompson, and Lewis each collected multiple hits for the Red Devils. Kirk went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Red Devils in hits.

GAME TWO

Red Devils watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-2 loss to Cloud in game two.

The Red Devils struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Cloud, giving up 13 runs.

Cloud took the lead on a two-run home run in the first inning. The continued to score four more in the second, three in the third, and two in the fourth and fifth to seal the fate of the Red Devils. Allen showed life in the third and fourth by runs drove in off a double by Darby Lewis and a triple by Chloe Enderud.

Ronna Erickson took the loss for the Red Devils. She surrendered five runs on three hits over two innings. Ashtyn Jurging started the game for the Red Devils. She lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out two and walking one

Darby Lewis, Meg Kirk, Chloe Enderud, and Macie Cervantes all had one hit to lead the Red Devils.
