Chloe Burns Signs with Carolina University

Sophomore Forward Chloe Burns will be continuing her education and basketball play for the next two years at Carolina University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The quick forward with three-point range was part of the resurgence of the Women’s basketball team at Allen County. She was a leader on and off the floor with the hard work she put into her academics as well as to her game. She became another tough scoring forward at the stretch four position as well as an aggressive defender in the lane.

Chloe played in every game last season until sidelined by injury at the end of the season. An ultimate team player, Chloe embraced her role on the team and gave her best when it was needed. A scrappy player, whose quick post defense was key in helping to establish Allen’s post defensive intensity, will be a great addition to the Bruins of North Carolina.

“Our excitement for Chloe is immeasurable!” said Coach Crane. “She worked hard to help maintain team chemistry, leadership, and success this year with her knowledge and passion of the game. Carolina University is getting a great young woman and a strong leader. Chloe will be missed, but with all of our players, we wish her nothing but the best and look forward to seeing her success in the future.”
